Meet Gary Hickman — Creative Director & Stroke Survivor.
Hi, I’m Gary — founder of Mind Your Media.
A few years ago, my life changed overnight when I had a stroke. What followed was a long journey of recovery, reflection, and rediscovery. I had to learn how to do simple things again — how to adapt, how to be patient, and most importantly, how to keep moving forward.
Out of that experience came a fresh perspective. I saw clearly how creativity and communication could empower people. I realised how much I valued clear, honest storytelling — the kind that connects, not just promotes. That’s when Mind Your Media was born.
I don’t run a big agency. I’m not here to sell you jargon or overwhelm you with trends. I’m here to listen, to collaborate, and to help you express what really matters through media that moves.
I know what it means to have to start again — and I bring that resilience, insight, and empathy into every project I take on. I believe every brand has a story worth telling. And I’m here to help you tell yours — with clarity, creativity, and care.
